Anne Mitchell, Co-Owner of the farm shop
Anne and her husband, David own the farm shop. They have two sons, James and Jack and a daughter-in-law Sophie, who are also involved in the family business. Anne oversees the running of the whole shop and also heads up customer service. Her home is on the family farm just four miles from the farm shop in Hillcommon. Before her role at Rumwell Farm Shop, Anne was a qualified nurse. When Anne isn’t busy working in the family business, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends, and also turning her hand to sewing.
Chris O’Connor, Shop Manager
Chris, who lives in Oake, looks after the everyday running of the farm shop and mainly handles the advertising, merchandising, displays as well as the general computer and office work. He has worked at the farm shop since 2007 and in his spare time he enjoys running and cycling, good food and the odd glass of Rioja.
Andrew Morrison, Assistant Manager
The father-of-two, who lives in Wellington, has worked at the farm shop since 1998. Andrew likes to spend his spare time with his wife and children and also enjoys playing badminton.
Trevor Stark, Butchery Manager
Trevor has worked in the butchery department for 11 years and his main role is to handle the preparation of the meat for display and overseeing the day-to-day running of the department. He also has an NVQ Level 2 in meat processing.
Hannah Sydenham, Deli Manager
Hannah has been with us for 10 years and manages our Deli counter. She has an NVQ Level 3 in Multi Skilled Hospitality, an Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service and also an NVQ Level 2 in team leading. Hannah enjoys running, badminton and also breeds chickens in her spare time.
Liz Brown, Jam Kitchen Manager
Liz runs our jam kitchen and makes all the jams, chutneys, fudge and Christmas puddings for the shop and cafe. The mother-of-three, who lives in Combwich has worked at Rumwell since 1998. In her spare time she enjoys drama, walking, gardening and is involved with the Brownies.
Sharon Ware, Kitchen Manager
Sharon runs our busy cafe kitchen and ensures all the food served is of high quality. The mother-of-three also organises the rotas for the staff in the kitchen and handles the costing of the food. Sharon has a wealth of experience in the catering industry and holds a City and Guilds catering qualification. In her spare time, Sharon loves to bake and creates celebration cakes for birthdays and weddings. She also enjoys crafting.
Eleanor Curtis, Cafe Manager
Eleanor manages our front of house team in our cafe. She deals with bookings, staffing and customer service. The mother-of-two, who is originally from Hertfordshire, has been working in the catering industry for many years and recently ran a golf club in Bristol. In her spare time, Eleanor enjoys catching up with her family, especially her granddaughter Pippa. She is also a keen walker and likes to curl up with a good book.
Gail Culverwell, Bakery Manager
Gail handles the day to day running of our busy bakery, which includes ordering ingredients, creating rotas, stock control and baking our sweet treats. The mother-of-two from Staplegrove holds a City and Guilds catering qualification and in her spare time enjoys gardening and trying out new recipes.
