Trevor raises more than £620 for two charities

Trevor Stark, our Butchery Manager, took part in the Taunton Half Marathon yesterday (Sunday, April 8, 2018) and raised £623.30 for our two charities of the year.

The father-of-one ran in the race in aid of Headway Somerset and Stand Against Violence (SAV) and completed the race in two hours and 18 minutes.

The 39-year-old, explained: “I really enjoyed taking part in the half marathon for two very worthy local causes. I trained very hard and I was very pleased with my overall time. There was such a great atmosphere and I’m looking forward to doing it again next year.”

Headway Somerset provides social and cognitive rehabilitation for adults with brain injury and support and respite for their families through its four Brain Injury Centres based in Bridgwater, Henton, Yeovil & Taunton.

SAV was set up in 2005 following the murder of 17-year-old Lloyd Fouracre. SAV aims to prevent violence, its long-term consequences and the grief of losing loved ones. The workshops it delivers equip and inform students in an effective manner how to Stand Against Violence.
