Quizzers from Somerset challenged their general knowledge last Friday (January 26, 2018) while also helping raise invaluable funds for a charity during a quiz evening in our cafe.
Anne Mitchell, Joint Owner of the farm shop, said: “The quiz night was a big success and we were so pleased that it raised £546 in total for Headway Somerset, which is one of our charities of the year.
“The money was raised from our raffle, an auction for a tablet, which raised £78 and also from the entry fees for the quiz.
“The winning team, for the second time running, was Joy Division and each team member got to take home a hamper and also the Rumwell Cup. We hope they come back to our next quiz night on Friday, April 27 to defend their title.”
Headway Somerset provides social and cognitive rehabilitation for adults with brain injury and support and respite for their families through its four Brain Injury Centres based in Bridgwater, Henton, Yeovil & Taunton.
Deborah Parsons, Community Fundraiser at Headway Somerset, said: “We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to Rumwell Farm Shop for hosting the quiz in aid of Headway. The amount raised during the evening is amazing and we had a fabulous time.”
