Quiz evening raises £445 for Stand Against Violence

We are delighted to let you know that our second quiz night of the year last Friday (April 27, 2018) raised £445 for Stand Against Violence.

The Charity Quiz & Supper Evening, which was held in our cafe, was a big success and we’re so pleased that it raised a large sum of money for one of our charities of the year.

The money was raised from our raffle, auction and also from the entry fees for the quiz.

The winning team was The Barrel of Coopers and each team member got to take home a hamper and also the Rumwell Cup. We hope they come back to our next quiz night on Friday, July 27 to defend their title.

SAV was set up in 2005 following the murder of 17-year-old Lloyd Fouracre. SAV aims to prevent violence, its long-term consequences and the grief of losing loved ones. The workshops it delivers equip and inform students in an effective manner how to Stand Against Violence.

Adam Fouracre, Chief Executive Officer at Stand Against Violence, said: “Rumwell Farm Shop’s support is greatly appreciated.

“The money raised will help us to continue to provide our anti-violence workshops, self-defence and vital first aid lessons to young people across England and Wales.”
