Cooking instructions for frozen foods


Garlic Chicken Kiev – Oven cook in a pre-heated oven at 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6 for 20-30 minutes or shallow fry for 12 minutes until piping hot. Cook from Frozen.

Breaded Chicken Fillets – Cook from frozen in a pre-heated at 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6 for 15 – 20 mins. Deep Fry in oil 180°C/350°F and cook for 5-6mins

Sage and Onion Stuffing Balls – Cook in a hot oven for 20-30mins.

 

Potato & Vegetables

Hash Browns – Deep fry in hot oil for 4-5 minutes or bake at 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6 for approx 20 minutes.

Potato Gratin – Cook from frozen in a pre-heated oven at 220°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7, spread preferred quantity on a baking tray, place in the middle of the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes.

Roast Potatoes – Cook from frozen in a pre-heated oven at 180ºC/350°F/Gas Mark 4 for 30 minutes or around joint for the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Roasted Sliced Potatoes in Garlic and Thyme – Place on a baking tray in a moderate oven for 20 minutes turning once.

Herby Diced Potatoes – Fry for 10 – 15 mins at average temperature until golden/yellow and crispy. Turn regularly or Oven: Preheat the oven at 220C/428F/Gas Mark 5. Spread the preferred amount evenly on a baking tray (preferably on baking paper). Place the tray in the middle of the oven. Bake the product for about 15 – 20 mins. Turn regularly until golden yellow and crispy.

Spicy Potato Wedges – Cooking Instructions: Cook from frozen. Shallow Fry: Heat some oil or butter in a frying pan and cook the wedges for about 10-15 minutes turning regularly until golden yellow and crispy. Oven: Pre-heat oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7. Cook on a baking tray in the centre of the oven for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden yellow and crispy. Deep Fry: Pre-heat the oil to 175C/347F, cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden yellow and crispy.

Spinach Leaf – Place frozen spinach in a covered saucepan with a knob of butter. Season with salt and pepper, heat gently, stirring until tender or microwave from frozen.

Steakhouse Fries – Shallow fry: 12-15 minutes, Deep fry: 4-6 minutes, Bake: 20 minutes at 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6.

Tuscan Roasting Vegetables – Spread the frozen vegetables in a shallow roasting tray, add crushed garlic, salt and drips of olive oil. Roast on top shelf of a very hot oven for 8-12 minutes.

Broad Beans, Farmhouse Vegetables, Peas AA – Cook from frozen. Place in a little boiling salted water and simmer until tender. Drain and season. Alternatively, can be steamed or microwaved.

Battered Onion Rings – Oven: Cook from frozen for 20 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 230°C/450°F/Gas Mark 8. Turn once during cooking. Grill: medium/hot heat for 5 minutes until golden, turn once during cooking. Shallow fry: 3-4 minutes in hot oil, turn once during cooking. Deep fry: 2 minutes until golden brown.

Breaded Garlic Mushrooms – Oven cook at 220°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7 for 12 minutes or fry for 4 minutes at 180°C.

Sweet Potato Chips – Oven Bake at 180c for approx. 20-25 mins. Or cook in a deep fat fryer until golden.

Roast Potatoes – Cook from frozen in a pre-heated oven at 180ºC/350°F/ Gas Mark 4 for 30 minutes.

 

Fish

Coquilles St Jacques – From frozen: Pre-heat oven to 220°C/425º/Gas Mark 7. Place on a baking tray and cook for 20-25 minutes.

Smoked Haddock Mozzarella and Spring Onion Fish Cakes – Deep fry from frozen in pre-heated oil at 180°C/350°F for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.

Jumbo Fishcakes – Cook from frozen in a pre-heated oven at 180°C or shallow fry.

Salmon Fishcakes – Cook from frozen. Grill for 10 – 12 minutes. Shallow fry for 10-12 mins, Deep fry for 5-6 mins.

Whitebait – Cook from frozen, lightly dust in flour, fry in small batches in pre heated oil at 180°C for 2-3 minutes.

Breaded Whitebait – Cook from frozen, fry in pre heated oil at 180°C for 2-3 minutes.

 

Bakery

All Butter Croissant – Spread out on a baking tray and leave to prove overnight at room temperature. Egg wash and bake in a pre-heated oven at 190°C/375ºF/Gas Mark 5 for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.

Apricot Danish – Spread out on a baking tray, leave to defrost and prove for 1 hour 45 minutes. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C/350ºF/Gas Mark 4 for 17 minutes.

Chocolate Twist – Spread out on a baking tray, defrost/prove overnight. Glaze with egg yolk and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C/350ºF/Gas Mark 4 for 10 minutes.

Cinnamon Swirl – Cook from frozen in a hot oven at 190°C/375ºF/Gas Mark 5 for 15 minutes until pastry is cooked.

Ham and Cheese Croissant – Put on a baking tray and defrost for 30 minutes at room temperature. Oven cook for 20 minutes at 180°C/350ºF/Gas Mark 4 until pastry is golden brown.

Maple Pecan Danish – Cook from frozen in a hot oven at 190°C/375ºF/Gas Mark 5 for 15 minutes until pastry is cooked.

Pain au Chocolat – Spread out on a baking tray and leave to prove overnight at room temperature. Egg wash and bake in a pre-heated oven at 190°C/375ºF/Gas Mark 5 for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.

Pain aux Raisins – Spread out on a baking tray and leave to prove overnight at room temperature. Egg wash and bake in a pre-heated oven at 190°C/375ºF/Gas Mark 5 for 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.

Yorkshire Puddings – Place in a pre-heated oven at 200°C/400ºF/Gas Mark 6 for 3-4 minutes.

Spinach & Ricotta Danish – Bake from Frozen for 20 mins at 180°C/350ºF/Gas Mark 4.

Very Berry Danish – Bake from frozen for 20 mins at 180°C/350ºF/Gas Mark 4.

Almond Croissant – Bake from frozen for 20 mins at 180°C/350ºF/Gas Mark 4.

Sweet Belgian Waffles – Defrost at room temperature or in a hot oven (2 minutes at 180C/350F/Gas Mark 6) or in a microwave (30 secs) or grill for 90 seconds.

Cheese Swirl – Thaw at room temperature for 30 mins, then bake for 20 mins 180C/350F/ Gas Mark 4 until pastry is cooked.
