Celebrating our 20th anniversary


We were delighted to mark our 20th anniversary last Saturday (July 1, 2017) with a party in our cafe and a ceremonial cake cutting by one of our longest serving employees.

We tucked in to a three-course meal featuring ingredients sourced from Somerset and our farm and were also entertained by a magician.

Anne Mitchell, Joint Owner of the farm shop, said: “We can’t really believe that our farm shop is 20-years-old now. To celebrate the occasion and to thank our dedicated and hardworking team we decided to host a party in our cafe.

“We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening, which included a three-course meal using some of our homegrown and reared products as well as items from other local suppliers, a cake cutting ceremony and a magician.

“Andrew Morrison, our Assistant Manager, who has worked at the farm shop since 1998 and is one of our longest serving members of staff, cut the celebration cake, which was created by the super talented Sharon Ware, our Kitchen Manager and covered with marzipan versions of many of the items we’re famous for growing, making and selling here such as our potatoes, pies and ham.

“We look forward to many more successful years ahead and owe a debt of gratitude to our team, who make it all possible.”
